About Us

Welcome to the official website of Nagar Nigam Ghaziabad, also known as the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation. Strategically located at the gateway to Uttar Pradesh, Ghaziabad is a prominent city in the National Capital Region (NCR), sharing its borders with the national capital, New Delhi.

The city is divided into five administrative zones—City Zone, Kavi Nagar Zone, Vijay Nagar Zone, Mohan Nagar Zone, and Vasundhara Zone—comprising a total of 100 municipal wards. This zonal structure ensures efficient governance, streamlined service delivery, and better civic management across the city.

Nestled in the heart of the Ganga–Yamuna Doab, Ghaziabad is a well-planned industrial hub and a rapidly growing urban center. It is also renowned as an educational hub, home to numerous prestigious institutions, and is culturally enriched by landmarks such as the revered Dudheshwar Temple.

The Hindon River, a rainfed tributary of the Yamuna, flows through Ghaziabad and holds historical, ecological, and cultural significance. Originally established as a Municipal Board, Ghaziabad was elevated to the status of a Municipal Corporation on 31st August 1994, following the 74th Constitutional Amendment Act of 1992 and subsequent conformity legislation by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. We are committed to fostering sustainable urban development, enhancing civic amenities, and improving the quality of life for all residents of Ghaziabad.

Message from Leaders

Ghaziabad is known for its rich culture and rapid development. It is our endeavor that Ghaziabad should also be recognized as a clean, green, and smart city. Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam (GNN) is making consistent efforts to develop the city into a smart city with the resources available to us. However, this goal cannot be achieved without the active support and participation of all the respected citizens of Ghaziabad.

The success of GNN’s initiatives depends greatly on the cooperation, involvement, and guidance of the citizens. Therefore, I humbly request all citizens of Ghaziabad to join hands with us and contribute towards making Ghaziabad a clean, green, and smart city that we can all be proud of.

Dear Citizens, Our administration is committed to improving infrastructure, ensuring better sanitation, enhancing public services, and making Ghaziabad a model city. However, true progress comes from collective efforts. I urge every citizen to contribute by keeping our city clean, following traffic rules, conserving water, and supporting local initiatives.

Your suggestions and participation are invaluable in shaping a better tomorrow. Let’s work hand in hand to make Ghaziabad a shining example of development, safety, and harmony.
